ORLANDO, Fla. — The total number of coronavirus cases continues to rise in Florida, with more than 178,000 total cases statewide.
The Florida Department of Health collects the ZIP codes of people who have tested positive for the virus to give the community a heads up of where the virus is.
Of Orange County’s more than 12,000 cases, almost 9,000 are in Orlando. There are about 286,000 people who live within the Orlando city limits.
Twenty-one percent of Orange County residents live in Orlando but 74% of Orange County’s COVID-19 cases are in Orlando.
The Florida Department of Health lists Florida cities in order of most cases:

2. Orlando
3. Tampa
4. Jacksonville
5. Hialeah
6. Fort Lauderdale
7. Hollywood
8. West Palm Beach
9. Saint Petersburg
10. Fort Myers
