ORLANDO, Fla. — Orlando police conducted a death investigation near the west side of Orlando International Airport Sunday morning.

Police said they found the body around 8:50 a.m. in the woods near the intersection of Avenue C and Andros Place.

A passerby smelled the body, which was badly decomposed, and called police.
Police have classified the scene as an "unattended death," which means that some time has passed since the person died.

Police said they are unsure how long the body had been there and noted that a lot of homeless inhabit the area.

Police have not identified the deceased, but said the person appears to be a white or Hispanic male.
Police released pictures of jeans, boots and a sweatshirt that was found at the scene.
The cause of death is undetermined, pending an investigation by the medical examiner's office.
No other information was released.
