After the fire was extinguished, police say they found the body of 24-year-old Kevin Boeren in the home.
The Medical Examiner determined Boeren’s manner of death was homicide and Orlando police quickly identified 49-year-old Steven Clary as their suspect. Police haven’t explained exactly how they were able to link Clary to Boeren’s death.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Clary was spotted by troopers hours later on Interstate-10 in Tallahassee, violating the state’s “Move Over” law while passing another traffic stop.

Once troopers learned of the “be on the lookout” alert on Clary by Orlando police, they attempted to stop him, but he sped away westbound on I-10.

Troopers say Clary reached speeds over 120 miles per hour as he weaved through traffic, narrowly missing other cars.
They were eventually able to disable Clary’s vehicle with a “PIT” maneuver and take him into custody.
Troopers say they were also able to assist Orlando investigators by securing evidence from Clary’s vehicle linking him to the murder investigation.
Clary was arrested in Tallahassee and charged with fleeing and eluding law enforcement with disregard for the safety of others. He’s also being held on the Orlando Police Department warrants for first-degree murder and arson.

He’s being held in the Leon County jail on no bond.
