“Monster Jam is one of those events where you can bring your 6-year-old or your 96-year-old and everyone will have a good time,” said Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer at the announcement ceremony on Wednesday. “This is further proof of the investment our area has made in this venue.”
Orlando has hosted Monster Jam events since 2002, most recently at Amway Center. This will be the first time the city hosts the World Finals.
“This is not just a family event, this is a regional event,” said Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs, who said the event will bring $40 million in economic investment to Central Florida.
