ORLANDO, Fla. — Parking at Orlando International Airport is about to get fancier and easier as airport officials announced that they will start offering valet service.
Channel 9's Julie Salomone said people can already take advantage of the service.
Erica Wilkerson arrived at OIA from St. Louis on Wednesday for a business conference. She was traveling with a baby and didn't know about curbside valet parking, but said she would try it next time around.
"You have the stroller, the car seat, the bag, it would be fantastic to just, here you go, and get on your plane. That's a great service," she said.
Passengers can find the new valet service on the departure levels of both the A and B sides of the main terminal building. Valet parking is $25 a day, $8 more than regular terminal garage parking.
Anyone can use the curbside valet parking, but only passengers flying on Alaska Air, American Airlines, United and US Airways can also get their bags checked without going to the counter.
"(You'll) be able to come in, valet park your car, check your bag if you're flying on a participating airline, go straight to the gate, get your boarding pass (and) go straight to the gate," said Phil Brown, executive director of the Orlando Aviation Authority.
