ORLANDO, Fla. — The Orlando Eye reopened Friday evening after technical issues caused the attraction to shut down for more than 24 hours.
The ride was shut down late Thursday morning after an irregularity was noticed in the operating systems, according to a representative.
The representative said the Eye was closed as a precaution.
Closing the ride left some tourists who had purchased tickets a little uneasy about stepping onto the ride when it does open.
"Hopefully it's being rigorously checked before they've obviously opened it," tourist Lucy Mead said.
Representatives told Channel 9, "The safety of our guests and employees is our top priority."
