ORLANDO, Fla. — As the City of Orlando plans to transform Edgewater Drive in College Park to be more accessible, some cycling groups are not happy with the idea of removing bike lanes along the stretch of road.
The Orlando Bike Coalition encourages cyclists to attend Tuesday’s meeting with the City of Orlando at Church on the Drive, 1914 Edgewater Drive, Orlando, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The city plans to remove the bike lanes between Par and Lakeview streets and add wider sidewalks and on-street parking to revitalize Edgewater Drive.

The city would also add a roundabout to slow traffic down in the area at Lakeview Street.
WFTV reported a year ago about the plans and spoke with residents who would like to see the city reconsider their plans.
