Woman found shot in vehicle in Orlando now in critical condition; detectives seek surveillance video

ORLANDO, Fla. — A woman in her 30s who was found shot in a vehicle Tuesday afternoon in the Clear Lake neighborhood is now in critical condition, the Orlando Police Department said Wednesday morning.

Firefighters were called at 2:30 p.m. to a crash at Orange Center Boulevard and Ohio Avenue, not far from South John Young Parkway.

They said they noticed the woman had been shot. She was taken to a hospital in serious condition.

Police said the shooting happened about a block away from the crash scene. They said the motive for the shooting is unknown.

Detectives said they continue to review surveillance video and interview witnesses.

Anyone who has surveillance footage of the area recorded between 2 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. is asked to call Orlando police at 321-235-5300.
