ORLANDO, Fla. — Orlando police said an older woman died after being hit by a car driven by a homicide suspect out of Daytona Beach.
Police said a license plate reader spotted the suspects Tuesday near LB McCleod and Interstate 4 in Orlando.

Daytona Beach police give an update on their homicide investigation:
Officials said the vehicle was spotted along Rio Grande Avenue where the fatal crash happened.
Officers tried to stop the vehicle with stop sticks, but the suspects kept on driving, police said.
A pursuit began, and the suspects eventually ended crashed at Rio Grande and Kaley avenues.
Investigators said the suspects’ vehicle flipped and crashed into a charcoal grey vehicle, killing the woman inside.

Police said the suspect was driving recklessly, so officers backed off. But when the suspect tried to avoid hitting a car, they crashed into another car with the woman inside. She was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
Police said a gun was found in the car, and the two suspects were taken to a hospital.
