Woman, man fatally shot in separate shootings in Orange County

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A man and a woman were fatally shot overnight in separate shootings that happened just 30 minutes apart, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Deputies said neither shooting was random.

The first shooting happened late Sunday night at an apartment complex in Ocoee, deputies said.

Deputies said a 41-year-old woman was shot just before 11 p.m. on Vizcaya Lake Road.

She was taken to a hospital, where she died.

Deputies have not released any information about a suspect or the woman’s name.

The second shooting happened about 30 minutes later in Apopka.

A man was shot on East 17th Street at about 11:30 p.m.

The man suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital where he died, deputies said.

Orange County deputies said the suspect fled the scene.

No other information was available.
