WINTER PARK, Fla. — Drivers going through Winter Park might notice a new piece of art.
The city unveiled the “Rhythmic Colors” sculpture on Friday.

It is located near eastbound Interstate 4 and the Fairbanks curve.
Winter Park started this project after receiving a $150,000 art grant two years ago.

A dozen artists submitted their ideas, but the sculpture from RLF came out on top.
“I wanted to show a way to say that this is Winter Park without using some of the cliches items of, you know, peacocks,” said project designer Steven Purcell.

The project looks different depending on the angle.
It almost looks like a DNA double helix if you’re looking from above.
