ORLANDO, Fla. — Orange County Fire Rescue released a drone video on Tuesday that shows crews rescuing riders from The Wheel at ICON Park after the ride lost power on New Year’s Eve.
The video shows rescue crews climbing The Wheel to reach people trapped inside the gondolas.

Firefighters used cranes to reach the people trapped inside 20 different pods.
All 62 people who were stuck were safely rescued according to the fire department.

Orange County Fire Rescue officials will hold a press conference on Tuesday to discuss their training when it comes to these kinds of rescue operations.
On Tuesday, ICON Park released a statement stating, “The Wheel is expected to be closed for the next few days. The technical team is conducting maintenance on The Wheel and, as per our protocols, the attraction will be reviewed by Florida state ride inspectors prior to reopening. Updates on opening will be provided on our website and social.”

The cause of the power outage remains under investigation.
Some witnesses captured video of sparks flying from one of the pods.
