Valencia College employees to strike as part of national campaign against police shootings

ORLANDO, Fla. — Valencia College administrators said they’re ready for a 48-hour strike.

The college is going on strike with more than 130 employees participating.

Golfview Elementary closure extended through the week due to COVID-19

The effort is part of the national Scholar Strike campaign, which calls for a 48-hour work stoppage in higher education in response to the recent police shootings of African American citizens.
