Troopers search for hit-and-run driver who killed pedestrian in Orange County

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Troopers in Orange County are searching for a hit-and-run driver who killed a pedestrian Saturday morning.

Investigators said the deadly crash occurred at around 5:53 a.m. near the intersection of Pine Hills Road and North Lane.

Troopers said a driver in a green Dodge Charger hit the pedestrian and then fled the scene.

The pedestrian was taken to Orlando Health where they died, according to a report.

Troopers said the green Dodge Charger was later found in the Apopka area with front end damage from the crash.

The identity of the driver is still under investigation, troopers said.

Anyone with information about this crash is asked to call 911.
