Troopers investigate deadly overnight hit-and-run crash in Orange County

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian in Orange County.

The crash happened near the intersection of Orange Blossom Trail and La Quinta Drive around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday.

According to troopers, an unknown vehicle was traveling southbound on Orange Blossom Trail and a pedestrian was crossing the road, not in a marked crosswalk.

The car hit the pedestrian and left the scene before troopers arrived.

The 64-year-old man was transported to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
