Traffic alert: Several downtown Orlando roads will be closed for Pulse remembrance ceremony

ORLANDO, Fla. — If you’re headed to downtown Orlando for the Pulse remembrance ceremony, some travel lanes will be closed.

Officials said southbound Orange Avenue will be reduced to one lane between Kaley Street and Esther Street, from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.

All southbound lanes of Orange Avenue will be closed between Kaley Street and Harding Street, from 4 to 10 p.m., officials said.

If you are looking for a detour to avoid the road closures, head west on Kaley Street, turn left onto Division Avenue and left onto Michigan Street to Orange Avenue.

The following roads will be open for local access only, from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday:

  • Esther Street between Lucerne Terrace and Orange Avenue.
  • Esther Street between Baylarian Boulevard and Orange Avenue.
  • Harding Street between Lucerne Terrace and Orange Avenue.
  • Harding Street between Baylarian Boulevard and Orange Avenue.

Officials asked residents to be patient and expect delays in the area.
