Teenage girl who had been missing for a week returns home, family says

ORLANDO, Fla. — A teenage girl who had been missing for a week, returned home to her family Sunday, her family told Channel 9.

Police said 17-year-old Jiarrah Ramos disappeared from her home on South Semoran Boulevard and Pershing Avenue last Sunday after she had been chatting with someone online.

Her family told Channel 9 that she showed up back at their apartment early this morning.

According to her family, she was upset and crying but otherwise OK.

The family said the Miya Marcano Foundation helped get the media involved and pushed the information about her disappearance on social media.

The family also told Channel 9 that they are going to work with Orlando Police on any follow-up investigation.
