Second suspect arrested in murder of Orlando teen, police say

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Orlando Police Department said a second suspect was arrested Wednesday after a teenager was shot and killed at an apartment complex last month.

Officers said they arrested Javon Schroeder, 19, who is charged with felony murder and armed sale or delivery.

The teenager, David Butterworth, 16, was shot April 26 at the Isle Apartments at 5308 Long Road.

Officers said Butterworth suffered a gunshot wound to the chest.

He was taken to a hospital, where he died.

The Orlando Police Department said a second arrest was made Wednesday morning.

On Saturday, police said they arrested Oscar Valencia, who is charged with second-degree murder with a firearm and remains in the Orange County Jail.

Officers said they are not looking for any other suspects.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office dive team said Wednesday it was helping Orlando police look for evidence near Lake Orlando Parkway.
