ORLANDO, Fla. — Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida hosted its graduation for the first Culinary Training Program on Saturday.

This commencement was the first in-person event to honor the graduating class this year.

The organization said they recognized 16 students for completing the 16-week course.

Roberto Rivera Otero, the chef de cuisine of Walt Disney World Culinary Concepts, spoke at the event.

The culinary program started in 2013, and Second Harvest said they have helped over 440 people find jobs.

Eligible students can join the program for free and gain experience in the food service industry.
