ORLANDO, Fla. — Some brave people in Central Florida got a chance to swim with some sharks this week.

SeaWorld Orlando celebrated Shark Awareness Day on Wednesday.

SeaWorld’s Discovery Cove offered guests the chance to swim freely with five different species of sharks.

Officials said Shark Awareness Day is a chance to educate people about the sea creatures, which are essential to keeping ocean ecosystems healthy.
