WINTER PARK, Fla. — UPDATE: The body of the missing swimmer was found dead after a search that spanned nearly a day, according to officials.
Charles “Harry” Carter was found deceased in Lake Osceola after he went missing around 7:30 p.m. Monday.
Officials said Carter went into the water for a swim and did not resurface.
No further information was immediately available. The investigation is ongoing.

Several agencies are continuing to search for a man who went missing Monday on Lake Osceola.
Charles “Harry” Carter, 20, went missing around 7:30 p.m. Monday evening, according to Winter Park Fire-Rescue.
Officials said Carter went into the water for a swim and did not resurface.
Carter’s family reached out to Channel 9 and asked that we refer to Charles as “Harry”, because everyone knows him by that name.

Winter Park Fire-Rescue, Winter Park Police, Maitland Fire, Orange County Fire Rescue and Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission are all responding to the scene.
“Recovery efforts are currently underway and will continue until the boater is found,” Winter Park Fire-Rescue said via Facebook.
