ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A woman was stopped at a busy Orange County intersection when she said a man started pulling on her car door trying to climb inside.

Police said they arrested William Bastin, a registered sex offender, after the incident. Investigators said Bastin told them that Google told him “it was his day and he could have anything he wanted without paying."

“He came to my door and just started flailing his arms like - ‘I’m going to get into your car no matter what.’ And I’m like, ‘Oh, no you’re not,’" the woman, who asked not to be identified, said.

Court records show Bastin was released on bond after the intersection incident only to be arrested again Tuesday. Police said he was acting erratically and screaming at employees at a Walmart.

Records show Bastin has a history of at least 17 arrests for sex offenses, drug violations and thefts.
