Police: Man charged with first-degree murder after hit-and-run crash that killed woman in Pine Hills

ORLANDO, Fla. — Deputies in Orange County said they have arrested a man after a deadly hit-and-run crash in Pine Hills.

Deputies said Kenneth Postell was arrested Thursday and has been charged with first-degree murder.

The crash occurred at around 3:19 a.m. on July 31 near the intersection of North Pine Hills and Indian Hills roads.

Deputies said Candice Colvert was a pedestrian in the area when she was struck by a truck that was driven by Postell.

Colvert was taken to Orlando Reginal Medical Center where she died, officials said.

Deputies said detectives worked for months to find Postell and gather evidence for his arrest.
