ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A man was arrested Sunday after a body was found inside a suitcase in east Orange County on April 1, the Orlando Police Department said.
Police arrested James White and charged him with second-degree murder, abuse of a dead body and tampering with physical evidence.
Police said the body of Garland Ross was found inside a suitcase in east Orange County on April 1.
Investigators said they believe Ross was murdered at 911 N. Orange Ave. on or around March 28.
Family members of Ross told police they had not heard from him and checked his apartment for him stating that he was not home and his two vehicles were also missing.
On April 1, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office told Orlando police that it found a dead body in the area of Lake Underhill Road and Pinar Drive. The body was later identified as Ross.
Police said they arrested two other suspects, Julie Felber and Timothy Crandall.
Officers said Felber and Crandall have both been charged with accessory after the fact to second-degree murder, abuse of a dead body and tampering with physical evidence.
