Orlando tourism may hinge on Trump, with analysts divided

Analysts suggest that 2025 attendance at Orlando’s major attractions, convention center and hotels may largely hinge on President-elect Donald Trump’s influence. But opinions vary on whether the returning president will provide a significant boost to the economy.

PFM Group Consulting LLC, which has been instrumental in forecasting Orlando’s attendance trends, highlighted in a Dec. 18 article written by CEO Dan Hartman that the Trump administration’s proposed tax policies, including over $2 trillion in new cuts and the extension of TCJA reductions, may have mixed implications for the economy.

In the article, PFM, which has been contracted by Visit Orlando and Orange County Convention Center for developing certain reports, underscored the importance of municipal bonds in sustaining U.S. infrastructure. The firm’s analysis conveyed the broader uncertainty surrounding federal tax policy and its trickle-down effects on tourism-dependent economies like Orlando.
