ORLANDO, Fla. — Orlando police are searching for a man accused of yelling homophobic slurs and throwing frozen water bottles at a man in Thornton Park.

A man was picking up food at Graffiti Junction on July 22 when a customer who’d been asked to leave the restaurant started “to yell homosexual, derogatory statements” at him, according to an Orlando police report.

When the man left the restaurant, he told police that the same customer drove by him as he was walking to his car and continued to yell unintelligible statements at him before throwing two frozen water bottles out of the car window.

Orlando police said that the man is now wanted for a hate crime against a member of the LGBTQ+ community.

Police said he was driving a red or maroon Chrysler 300.
