Orlando police K9 unit marks 50 years of fighting crime

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Orlando Police Department is commemorating 50 years of its K9 unit this week.

The K9 officers have been fighting crime in the city for half a century.

The department said the officer and K9 teams work on everything from arrests to bomb searches, K9 presentations at schools and working large-scale special events.
