Orlando police investigate early morning hit-and-run crash

ORLANDO, Fla. — An investigation is underway in Orlando after police said an unknown driver hit a pedestrian and then drove away from the scene.

The hit-and-run crash happened around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday near the intersection of East Central Boulevard and South Bumby Avenue.

Police said a pedestrian was hit by a car that left the scene.

The pedestrian was taken to the hospital with injuries described as critical.
