Orange County Sheriff’s Office to host ‘Trunk-or-Treat' event Thursday evening

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Deputies with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting a Trunk-or-Treat event in the Sheriff’s Office’s parking lot Thursday evening.

The drive-thru event will allow the Sheriff’s Office to give out candy to families for Halloween.

“We know it’s so important for people to come out here and have a great time,” Sgt. Menacham Green said. “It’s going to be exciting. We are going to have deputies dressed up.”

Deputies said to enter off of the John Young Parkway entrance to help with traffic.

“There will be signs. There will be deputies in personnel directing them on where to come, but if they can enter off of John Young that would help us a lot,” Green said.

UPDATE: Universal extends daytime haunted houses, trick-or-treating through Halloween

The event will run from 5-8 p.m., and it’s open to everyone.
