ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Orange County officials said the county saw a slight uptick in COVID-19 cases over the weekend into Monday, with many of those cases tracing back to the University of Central Florida.
Orange County Health Officer Dr. Raul Pino said the key is to keep the county’s positivity rate under 5%. It is currently at 4.8%.

Over the weekend, Pino said the county counted 14 COVID-19-related deaths, all of those being people over the age of 60.
Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings said he is hoping people who attend President Donald Trump’s rally in neighboring Seminole County on Monday will do their part to avoid the rally becoming a superspreader event.
