ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — For some Orange County residents, the question remains when the debris left over from Hurricane Ian will be picked up.

Orange County Public Works and debris removal contractors have provided a color-coded map to help residents identify areas that have completed the first pass. The map also notes the future dates for other areas that are planned.

Here is the key for the map:
- Blue indicates areas that have already completed the first pass of debris collection.
- Yellow indicates areas where a contractor is expected to make the first pass of debris collection by Nov. 4.
- Orange indicates areas where a contractor is expected to make the first pass by Nov. 18.

Residents are encouraged to separate their storm debris into the following categories:
- Vegetative, such as trees or branches
- Construction and demolition
- Appliances
- Electronics
- Furniture
The county expects to have most county roadways and residential areas cleared by Thanksgiving, Nov. 24.
