ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Orange County Public Schools is looking for full-time mechanics and bus drivers, and will offer a sign-on bonus for anyone hired before the end of the year.
OCPS will give a bonus of up to $1,000 for those hired before Dec. 31.

On the spot interviews for open job positions include bus operators, fleet technicians and other assistants.
School districts around Central Florida and the U.S. have seen issues with long waits and delayed student drop-offs, as drivers and other transportation employees are lacking in numbers.

The OCPS transportation job fairs will be held at the following locations:
- Pine Hills Compound at 5140 N Pine Hills Road in Orlando on Nov. 1.
- Hanging Moss Compound at 6721 Hanging Moss Road in Orlando on Nov. 8.
- Eric Olson Compound on Bear Bryant Boulevard in Belle Isle on Nov. 15.
