Orange County Public Schools dropping mask mandate for adults

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Orange County Public Schools announced Wednesday that it is dropping its face mask requirement for adults.

The district sent an email to parents Wednesday afternoon saying that face masks will be voluntary for adults starting Feb. 28.

Officials said the change comes as the number of new COVID-19 cases continues to fall.

Masks are already optional for students.
