Firefighters go door-to-door to administer vaccines to homebound residents in Pine Hills, Lockhart

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Orange County Fire Rescue will be traveling to underserved communities to help homebound residents get a COVID-19 vaccine.

Firefighters will go door-to-door Tuesday in the Pine Hills and Lockhart communities.

Officials said State of Florida canvassing teams will survey the areas to determine who is eligible for the vaccine.

Orange County Fire Rescue paramedics will be administering the vaccines.

Firefighters will be in the areas from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday.
