ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — The Orange County Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act portal closed about 40 minutes after it opened Tuesday.
The portal allowed 15,000 residents to apply for a $1,000 grant.

County officials said people living in the same household, including roommates and other family members, who’ve been impacted by COVID-19, were eligible to apply.

Residents who are still inside the portal will not be logged out, and will have adequate time to complete their application.

Residents needed the following to apply:
- Photo ID
- Social Security card
Orange County has invested a total of $60 million of local CARES funding into the Individual and Family Assistance Program and has processed more than $39 million dollars, which has helped over 39,000 households.
