ORLANDO, Fla. — Dozens of restaurants employees from Orlando International Airport rallied outside City Hall on Tuesday for a chance to vote to unionize.
The employees were on the verge of unionizing before mass furloughs hit in March due to the pandemic. About 700 of the 800 employees were laid off.

HMSHost, which runs restaurants such as Starbucks, Outback Steakhouse and Firehouse Subs at OIA, said a few days ago that furloughed workers will not be part of the union vote when it does happen.
