Ocala man killed in motorcycle crash in Orange County, troopers say

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly motorcycle crash in Orange County.

Troopers said a 27-year-old man from Ocala was riding a 2008 Kawasaki motorcycle southbound on Round Lake Road, approaching King Avenue, when he crashed.

According to a report, the driver lost control during a right-hand curve, then ran off of the road and into a tree.

Troopers said the rider was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The ridder was taken to Adventhealth Hospital, where he died, officials said.

Troopers said the crash is under investigation.
