ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — There is “no active shooter” at Evans High School following a social media threat, Orange County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies said there was no evidence of criminal activity on the campus, and they did not find any weapons.

Orange County Public Schools said the high school was placed on lockdown after the threat was reported.
Police searched the campus but did not find any evidence of a threat.

Deputies then gave the all-clear and students were dismissed for the day.
OCPS said they will continue to work with law enforcement to investigate the source of the social media post.
