ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A new Little League baseball complex is under construction in Doctor Phillips.

The Doctor Phillips Little League All-Stars and Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings broke ground on the complex Thursday.

The nearly 17-acre complex will be just off of South Apopka Vineland Road.

One little league player said the fields at the new complex will be a major upgrade for him and the other players.
The new complex will include four baseball fields with field lighting.
Orange County Public Schools has also bought a portion of the property to use as space for parking and a future school.
