Mediterranean restaurant eyes former Luma space on Park Avenue

A new-to-Orlando restaurant concept may open in one of Central Florida’s in-demand vacant restaurant spaces.

Upscale Mediterranean restaurant Kaya is reportedly in talks to occupy the former Luma on Park space at 290 S. Park Ave., according to marketing materials submitted to the city of Winter Park.

OBJ obtained these marketing materials through a public records request.

The highly acclaimed Luma on Park closed its eatery in September after 15 years of operation, resulting in roughly 11,000 square feet of restaurant space being marketed along high-end shopping district Park Avenue.

It’s not known if a lease is signed for the new Kaya, but real estate sources tell OBJ a deal is close.

A representative with Orlando-based Foundry Commercial, which is marketing the space, declined to comment.

A representative with Kaya’s sister restaurant Mila wasn’t available for comment.
