Man who lives in Walt Disney World community wins $1M in Mega Millions drawing

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A man who lives in Golden Oak, a community within Walt Disney World Resort, won $1 million in a Mega Millions drawing.

Lottery officials said David Messer, 51, of Golden Oak, bought his winning ticket for the April 12 drawing at Rebel, located at 7900 World Center Drive in Orlando.

His ticket matched all five of the white ball numbers but did not match the Mega Ball number.

The retailer will receive a $1,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Mega Millions ticket.
