Man hospitalized after being hit by train in downtown Orlando, police say

ORLANDO, Fla. — Orlando police are investigating after a man was hit by a train Sunday in downtown Orlando.

Officers said the incident occurred at the SunRail Lynx Central Station around 1:13 p.m. between West Amelia and East Livingston streets.

The roadway in the area was shut down as officers investigated the incident.

Officers and paramedics who arrived, found a man who had been hit by a train.

An Amtrak train is stopped on the tracks in the area as police investigate.

Police said the man was treated for his injuries and taken to a hospital in critical condition.
