Man arrested after fatal shooting at Orlando hotel, police say

ORLANDO, Fla. — A man was arrested after he fatally shot another man at a hotel Wednesday, police said.

Police arrested Deundre Davis, 20, after he shot Richard Lee Bailey II on Bailey’s 49th birthday, officers said.

Bailey was found on the second floor at the Vacation Lodge at 720 S. Orange Blossom Trail, with gunshot wounds, police said.

Officers responded to the scene around 8:30 p.m Wednesday. Bailey was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died, police said.

Officers said Davis was charged with second-degree murder with a firearm.

Police said there are still two additional suspects outstanding.

A suspect was seen leaving the area in a dark vehicle “at a high rate of speed,” according to officials.

Homicide detectives are investigating the case.
