People at the church said they had contracted the company to remove four of the trees on the property they believe were at risk of falling or potential hazard risk.
Contractors were working to remove a tree at around noon when a worker was crushed by a falling tree while working to cut it down.
Witnesses said they could hear one of the workers yelling, “he’s down, he’s down,” after the accident.
When first responders arrived, they found the man pinned underneath a heavy oak tree and he had died from the impact.
