ORLANDO, Fla. — A man accused of murdering his wife in their upscale Orlando home may have found an attorney to represent him.
David Tronnes is set to go to trial next month in the 2018 murder of his wife, Shanti, but he’s been without an attorney since June.

Tronnes’ original attorneys withdrew, citing a conflict of interest.
Tronnes was then appointed a public defender, but after prosecutors found Tronnes was hiding money, he was told he had to hire his own attorney.

Friday, Richard Zaleski, the attorney Tronnes is trying to hire, told the judge there are some financial details to be worked out.
There’s also the matter of when the trial could start. It’s currently set to start early next month.
After the hearing, Zaleski said the case is one of the most unusual he’s ever seen, with the initial attorney’s stepping aside, and a private investigator for the defense holding on to bloody sheets from the home for more than a year before turning them over to authorities.

Zaleski said he expects to have answers on representing Tronnes and when he could be ready for trial by the end of next week.
Tronnes is also under investigation for suspected child pornography found on his cell phone.
Orlando police have handed their case to prosecutors to decide if he should face any additional charges.
