ORLANDO, Fla. — Lowe’s officials said the store will change the way it sells rope across the nation after a noose was found over the weekend at the store on Lake Underhill Road in Orlando.
“We’re appalled by this incident and are investigating diligently in partnership with law enforcement,” a Lowe’s spokeperson said in an email. “Lowe’s will not tolerate racism or our products being used to create a symbol of hate, and to ensure this staple product cannot be misused this way again, we are changing how we sell rope in our stores nationwide.”

It was not immediately clear how the stores will change the way it sells rope.
Shoppers told Eyewitness News they complained to the store management and the noose was eventually taken down; they stated that both customers and employees were visibly upset after seeing it.
