Large semi fire shuts down lanes of Florida’s Turnpike on Saturday

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A large semitruck fire shutdown the northbound lanes of Florida’s Turnpike for several hours Saturday morning.

The fire was reported at around 4:30 a.m. on the turnpike and State Road 50 near Oakland.

Firefighters battled the flames and spent hours clearing the damage.

Troopers have not said if there were any injuries reported in the fire.

Drivers in the area had to exit at State Road 50 before getting back on the highway to get around the scene.
