ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A local pilot is sharing harrowing details after surviving a plane crash.

Video shows the plane flying past cars last week on University Boulevard before making an emergency landing.

The pilot said he didn’t panic because there was no time for that.
Pilot Remy Colin said he was holding on for dear life and hoping for the best.
“As soon as I lost the power, I called ‘Mayday! Mayday! I’m going to go down,’” Colin said. “I got very lucky.”

Colin is counting his blessings.
Dramatic video captured his plane crash-landing on busy University Boulevard during rush hour Friday.
Colin crashed into a fence at the end of a driveway, narrowly avoiding cars.

He said he ran out of fuel during what was supposed to be a short test flight for the plane following its annual checkup.
Colin has a message for other pilots. No matter how many flight hours you have, never get complacent and don’t rush.
