ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Deputies said an Orange County woman took video of herself laughing and cursing at her boyfriend as he begged for her to let him out of a zippered suitcase hours before she called 911 after finding him dead, still zipped inside.
Deputies said Sarah Boone, 42, is being held without bond in connection to the death of Jorge Torres Jr. She made her first court appearance Wednesday on a charge of second-degree murder, and a judge ruled she would continue to be held on no bond.
In court, prosecutors said Torres’ autopsy showed “significant evidence of trauma.”
Videos that deputies recovered from Boone’s phone they said show Torres trying to push his way out of the suitcase in the living room of their Winter Park area home while Boone tells him to shut up.
“I can’t (expletive) breathe, seriously,” Torres is heard saying in the videos, according to deputies.
“That’s on you,” Boone replied, according to deputies. “That’s what it feels like when you cheat on me," and “that’s what you do when you choke me,” and that he “should probably shut the (expletive) up.”

Deputies said Boone told them that the pair had been drinking and that she thought Torres would free himself.
“That was the devil’s work to me,” said the couple’s neighbor, Pearl Walker. “Drinkin’ and playing hide-and-go-seek. That’s the devil’s work.”
Records show the couple has a history of domestic violence incidents. Torres was arrested in September for allegedly punching Boone. And both Boone and Torres were arrested in 2018 after a fight where deputies said they could not determine the aggressor.
