ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — People have evacuated their homes in the Orlo Vista neighborhood in Orange County.

Crews used boats to get people out Thursday after the worst from Hurricane Ian passed Central Florida.

The National Guard was called out to help with the rescue efforts.

It’s unclear how many homes were damaged.
Orange county was pumping water out of retention ponds before the storm., but it wasn’t enough.
